The Winter Blues Have Arrived And You Can Cure It – Naturally!

Well, if you live in Chicago…YES!!! Yes, it is real when you are sad come February because you haven’t been outside in the sun for 4 months! I always seem to be in a more somber mood during this time and that’s because it’s always gloomy and dark in the winter.

You can also call it the ‘winter blues’ and luckily, you don’t need meds because you can cure it naturally by stepping outside!

The sun gives us vitamin D and increases serotonin levels in the body making you a naturally happier person. Have you ever realized you are happier on a sunny and warm day? All we need is sun.

So…how can we fix our winter blues???

Layer up. Throw on the Uggs, North face and 3 pairs of mittens. Get outside and get some fresh air. That helps me!

Obviously you won’t get as much sun as you would in the summer but take a walk once a week, it will greatly decrease your winter blues.
